The Vacation in Morocco-3 Days Tour Marrakech to Fez via Merzouga desert program :

Day 1: Marrakech – Ait Benhaddou (UNESCO world heritage site)– Ouarzazate– Dades Gorges

The first day of our 3 Days Desert Trip from Marrakech- vacation in Morocco begins the morning. Departure for Ouarzazate through the famous Tizi Ntichka pass (at 2260m above sea level). We will pass by Ait Ben Haddou kasbah that we will visit. The last Berber chieftain Ethami built it late in the 19th century. The Kasbah is recognized as a UNESCO world heritage site.

You will have the oportunity to see many props used in movies that you may be have seen such as Gladiator. After the visit of the kasbah, we will continue driving to reach Ouarzazate. Then, we will contine to arriving at Kalaa Mgouna in the roses valley.  where we will visit a local cooperative to give you an idea of the extraction of cosmetic products from roses.

After that, we continue to Dades Gorges where we spend this night of our 3 days trip from Marrakech to Fez via Merzouga desert- Vacation in Morocco. Accommodation at a hotel.

Day 2: Dades Gorges – Todra gorges – Erfoud- Merzouga Desert

Departure from the Dades gorges to the Todgha gorges in Tinghir.  The most spectacular canyons walls in all the world. We will make a walk in the gorges bordered by high cliffs. After this walk, we will continue to Erfoud in the ZIZ valley.

Before arriving at Arfoud at about 10 kms, we will make a stop to visit a Romain system of irrigation called Khatarat. Then, we will continue to reach Erfoud. Upon arrival, we will visit a Marble and fossilized marble factory to give you an idea about how plates of Marble and fossilized marble are transformed into real object of art.

After the visit, we will continue the path to Merzouga passing through Rissani the origin of Alaouite dynasty and the old capital of Sijilmassa and the cross-road of old caravans (8th to 14th century). A local guide takes you for a visit to its great Souk (Market). Later, we drive to Merzouga where you will have a desert adventure to spend the night in a sahara luxury desert camp.

We will ride camels over the great sand dunes of Erg Chebbi to access the camp. On the path, we will make a stop to allow you to take beautiful pictures of the magical sunset from the heart of the desert. A special night with a delicious Dinner and Berber drums around the Campfire. Enjoy your night in the desert of Morocco.

Day 3: Merzouga– Ifrane – Fez

The morning after breakfast, camel ride back to the hotel in Merzouga. Our trip continues taking the road direction to the cultural capital of Morocco Fez. The path leads us through the valley of Ziz that offers  many spectacular views of gorges and reddish-gold dunes. We will make some stops to allow you to take pictures of beautiful landscapes. We will cross the Atlas Zad pass (2,178m /7,146ft) to arrive at Azrou.

Azrou is an important handicraft center specializing in the work of cedar wood. After that we continue to arrive at Ifrane “the Switzerland of Morocco and a charming ski resort. The city is at a great altitude in the Atlas Mountains. A small visit will allow you to discover the charm of the city. Finally, we arrive at the cultural capital of  Morocco Fez where we drop you off at your Riad or hotel.
