Day 1: Marrakech

After arrival at Menara airport,  transfer to your riad or hotel.


Day 2: Marrakech – Telouate – Kasbah Ait Ben Haddou – Ouarzazate

The morning after breakfast, we start the activity of this day of the Morocco imperial cities desert trip. Departure from Marrakech to Ouarzazate crossing the High Atlas Mountains via the Tizi n’Tichka pass (at 2260m above sea level). Our first station is the famous kasbah Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah that was built by the last Berber chief El Glaoui in the 19th century. This Kasbah is recognized as a UNESCO heritage site. Also it was the filmset of  many films such as the Mummy, Kondon and Alexander, Gladiator, Lawrence of Arabia and many others. Lunch will be at a local restaurant. Then we continue to Ouarzazate, “the African Hollywood ”, where you have the opportunity to visit and see many props used in movies. After that, we will visit Taourirt Kasbah and the souk of epics. The dinner and accommodation will be in a charming Riad.


Day 3: Ouarzazate – Rose Valley – Dades Gorges – Todgha Gorges

After breakfast, we leave Ouarzazate direction to the desert passing via Skoura Oasis where we will visit Amredil Kasbah, then the valley of the pinks and the road of the thousand Kasbahs in Kalaat M’gouna, famous for its annual festival of roses (see a gum of natural products extracted from the pinks). Later, we continue driving to Dades Gorges wich is one of the most beautiful oasis in Morocco. Lunch will be at a local restaurant.

After lunch, we will go to Todgha Gorges in Tinghir (you may take a walk in the gorges bordered by high cliffs of canyon). In the afternoon, you will have free time to have a walk along the river to enjoy amazing natural landscapes and Berber villages that offers the area. Dinner and overnight will be at a local hotel.


Day 4: Gorges Todgha – Erfoud – Rissani – Merzouga

We continue our Morocco imperial cities private tour towards ERFOUD located in ZIZ valley. Arfoud is known as the world capital of fossils an fossilized marble. We will visit a factory to give you an adea about how the transform plates of fossilized marble to a real objects of art. After that, we continue to Rissani,an economic center of the area, and the city is known for its Souk(market), Kasbahs, and Alaouite historical monuments. After finishing the visit, we will continue towards Merzouga. When arriving, camel ride during about 1 hour to access to the sahara desert camp to spend the night under a Berber tent in the middle of the Erg Chebbi dunes. On the way, we will make a stop to allow you ton enjoy the magical sunset and to take pictures from the heart of the desert.


Day 5: Merzouga

Today we get to learn more about the way of living of the Nomads in our off-road excursion to the breathtaking Erg Chebbi. We will visit the Nomad families who migrate and live in tents. We will also attend an African folkloric music dance performance in Khamlia village. Then we will have a walk-in the desert oasis where you will have the opportunity to learn about the irrigation system of the area. Late in the afternoon,  camel ride to pass the night in the camp under a traditional Berber tent.


Day 6: Merzouga– Ifrane – Fes

After breakfast and a shower, we will continue our Morocco imperial cities 17 trip. This day links Merzouga the the cultural capital of Morocco Fes. We drive through the Ziz gorges passing via Errachidia and Midelt where we will make a stop for lunch. After that, we continue the path to reach Azrou, an important handicraft center specialized in the work of cedarwood. Then, Ifrane city, which is a charming ski resort. At the end of the day, we arrive at Fes. Dinner and overnight  in a riad in the old medina.


Day 7: Fes (guided visit of the city)

This day is dedicated to explore Fes, the spiritual and cultural Capital of Morocco. We start our activity by visiting the ancient medina, after that the Royal Palace, and then we drive through the Mellah, the old Jewish quarter, Bab Boujloud. We will also visit labyrinthine Fez El-Bali, Morocco’s largest medina, then the 17th-century the Karaouine University Medersas (schools). The old Medina is classified as a UNESCO heritage world site. The night will be in a charming riad in the medina.

 


Day 8: Fes – Volubilis – Meknes

The morning after breakfast, departure from Fes to Volubilis, the Roman ruins near Moulay Driss Zarhoun, the first man to have introduced the Islam religion in Morocco. you will take a guided tour to discover this archaeological site of 50 hectares, you will appreciate the greatness of the Roman remains Arc de Triomphe Caracalla, the Basilica, the Capitol, etc … then, we will continue to Meknes, the Ismaili capital, where you will have a guided visit to the tombs of Moulay Ismail, one of the rare sanctuaries of Morocco, stables of Moulay Ismail granary, the place El Hdim, Bab Mansour bears the most famous of all North Africa and the Medersa Bou Inania. The night will be in a Riad or the hotel.


Day 9: Meknes – Chefchaouen(Chaouen)

Our private tour departure from Marrakech continues to Chefchaouen nestled in the Rif Mountains. It’s a favorite destination for photography thanks to its wonderful views of the Rif Mountains. Chefchaouen is known as the blue city- for the blue color of its traditional buildings. You will have a walk to enjoy the white and blue washed walls of the medina, and also you will see the market that offers some unique native handicrafts. The night will be at a local Riad.

 


Day10: Chefchaouen – Tangiers – Assilah – Chefchaouen

Today you will visit Tangiers and the Strait of Gibraltar. This city is the gateway to Europe. Its mixture of European and African cultures gives it a unique and special feature in Morocco. We will make a visit to the city. The visit starts by walking in the small souk(market) in the heart of the medina. You admire the richness of moroccan architecture. We will visit one of the local bakeries to taste tasty bread and also the typical bazars. The lunch will be at a local restaurant. In the afternoon, we will back to Chefchaouen. The night will be in the same Riad.

 


Day 11: Chefchaouen – Rabat

The morning after breakfast,  we leave Chefchaouen towards Rabat, the administrative capital of Morocco. There, you will have a guided visit with a local guide to visit Hassan Tower, the old medina, Oudaya kasbah, Bab Shella, and Hassan II tombs. After lunch, you have free time to go sightseeing in the city. Overnight and dinner will be in the Riad in the heart of the majestic old medina.

 

 


Day 12: Rabat – Casablanca

After breakfast, you will leave Rabat towards The economic capital of Morocco ‘Casablanca’. There, you will have a visit to Hassan 2 mosque, Ain Diab Beach, an antique law court from the age of colonization. After lunch, you will have a free program to discover the town. The night will be at 5* hotel.

 

 


Day 13: Casablanca – El Jadida – Essaouira

This day of the Morocco imperial cities private tour links Casablanca to Essaouira. We will pass through several coastal cities to reach Essaouira. Before arriving at Essaouira, we will make a stop at the medieval town of El Jadida for a walk in the Old Portuguese streets. You will discover its ramparts, the Portuguese citadel, and its impressive cistern. And after that, we will continue to El Oualidia where we will stop for lunch break. You will make a small visit to this small town and then we continue towards the city of Essaouira(Mogador). We will arrive in the evening. Day 14: Essaouira – Agadir

After a delecious brterakfast,  we will visit the fishing port of Essaouira, a site inscribed as a world heritage site by the UNESCO. You will also visit the Jewish quarter El Mellah, the Skala, and the picturesque souks of the city. Lunch will be at a local restaurant. After, you will leave for Agadir. The night will be in a hotel in the city center.

 

 


Day 15: Agadir – Tiznit

Departure from Agadir to Tiznit by the coastal road. We will make a stop at some Berber villages. Then we continue to the village of Sidi Rabat. After that, we will arrive at Massa where we will visit Troglodyte Houses and enjoy beautiful natural landscapes. After that we continue our journey to the Souss Massa National Park where many species of migratory birds. Finally, we continue towards Tiznit, the city surrounded by 6 km of ramparts. It‘s known for its artisans who make silver jewelry. You have the opportunity to visit some shops.

Overnight and dinner in the hotel.


Day 16: Tiznit – Taroudant – Marrakech

We leave Tiznit direction to Marrakech. When arriving at Taroudant, we will visit its important attraction sites. Then we will cross the Tizi N’tast pass to arrive to Asni and we cross the gorges of Moulay Brahim to reach the red city Marrakech. Dinner and accommodation will be in a typical riad.

 

 


Day 17: Marrakech (city tour)

After breakfast, a City tour of Marrakech with an English-speaking local guide. We will visit the Menara, a magnificent pool surrounded by flower beds, which reflects the image of a beautiful Moorish edifice. The tour features several notorious monuments, including the mind relaxing Majorelle gardens and the Koutoubia Minaret (identical to the la Giralda tower in Seville, Spain), and the Saadian tombs, which represent Moorish architecture at its finest. The tombs, which include several sixteenth-century mausoleums, lay undiscovered behind walls until 1917. This tour also will include a walk in the alley of the different parts of the Souk-Market. You may conclude your day with a drink at sunset, overlooking the bustling Jamaa El Fna square. The night will be at your Riad.
