Vacation To Morocco-3 Days tour from Marrakech to Zagora desert program :

Day 1: Marrakech – Ait Ben Haddou kasbah (UNESCO world heritage) – Ouarzazate

The first day of this 3 days trip from Marrakech to Zagora of the vacation to Morocco travel packages takes us to Ouarzazate. We will cross the High Atlas Mountains and the Tizi n’Tichka pass (at 2260m above sea level). On our path, we will pass via Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah built by the last Berber chief Pacha El Glaoui in the 19th century.

The Kasbah is classed as a UNESCO heritage site. This kasbah was the film set of several famous movies such as The Mummy, Alexander, Gladiator, Lawrence of Arabia and many famous others. After a visit of the kasbah, lunch-break  at a local restaurant. Then, we will continue to Ouarzazate, “the Hollywood of Africa” thanks to its cinema studios that we will visit to see many props used in movies shooting. After that we will visit the Taourirt Kasbah and the souk (market) of spices.

The dinner and accommodation will be in the Riad or hotel depending on your choice.

Day 2: Ouarzazate – Zagora – Ennakhla Dunes

Our desert trip will continue the morning after breakfast.  We leave Ouarzazate direction to Zagora crossing the valley of Daraa. We will visit the Kasbahs and the palm grove of this oasis. The lunch will be served at a local restaurant in the village of Agdz.
After lunch break, we will head to Tamegrout where we will visit the Islamic library, the oldest one in the region. Our visit continues to the artisanal pottery where you will discover how men leather the clay to transform it to different pots and dishes for cooking by puting them at high temperatures fire. After that we will return to the hotel.

Late in the afternoon, camel trekking to access to the camp in the middle of the Ennakhla dunes to spend the night under a Berber tent (Enjoy the magic sunset over the dunes). The end of our activities for this day of the vacation to Morocco- 3 days trip from Marrakech to zagora desert.

Day 3: Zagora – Marrakech

After breakfast in the camp, camel ride back to the hotel. We take the road back to Marrakech. We will make a stop at the Tizi Ntichka pass for lunch-break. Then, we will continue driving to arrive at Marrakech late in the afternoon.
